I, myself haven't read this book, but I still don't think that it should be removed from libraries or Red Maple, sure not everyone thinks that and instead think that its horrid on how they write about Israelis but the novel is fiction right? Its not true, its the readers choice to believe it or not, but really? it is a little over the top right? can you imagine ANYONE doing those acts in the book? For land? Have a little sense can we? Does the book say that its 100% TRUE? no, it doesn't. Yes that comment from the reader saying she wanted to kill Israelis people after reading it which is not nescessary. Its JUST A BOOK. With great detail and false acts. Yes I can see where Brian is going and I understand the circumstances, I might even do that if I was the one fighting this, but theres reason not to as well. This book wasn't meant to be teaching us anything, its rated for Young Adults, I mean WE do have some sense and know enough that this isn't real. From others that have read the book, they say that its a really good book and i don't think that a book that deserves 5 stars should be taken from libraries and Red Maple. This could be an misunderstanding but I don't know what the author was truly thinking. It isn't completely fair is it? We should at least have a say in what goes into Red Maple right? This book didn't seem very appealing to me and I didn't get a chance to read it but this is a pretty big issue. Over one novel that isn't even non-fiction all this has come out of it. If the Sheperd's Granddaughter ends up winning Red Maple which would be pretty ironic, I wonder what will happen next. I think that Brian is over reacting, but I also think that the author made the acts of Israelis a little gory and too realistic. One of the readers of the book is proof, she wanted to kill Israelians because of the horrid acts from the novel which is too much. But like I said, I don't think that a novel like this should be taken from libraries because even with the realistic and detailed writing, I do not have anything against it.

I miss the stars.
I never see them.
One or two but that rarely happens.
What happens the most is when I get my hopes up thinking I saw one... but it was only a plane.
When I went to Florida, a few minutes before we land, we're still in the air. I look out the window and I was speechless. Never have I ever seen so many stars.
The sky was covered with them like a blanket.
I couldn't look away.
Like teardrops that never fall.
Like an explosion that never fades.I'll never forget the night I saw the stars.
When I was younger I saw a few stars each night.
When I go for a car ride at night, I would always look out at the window, hoping to spot a twinkle in the sky.
When I don't, I wait for the next night, for another game of hide an seek in the sky.
I miss them, so much.
I used to have dreams, where the stars never leave, night and day they're still there.
But I never did wish on stars.
I thought that stars aren't to be used for our own needs but to bring a new meaning to joy.
Or that stars bring us al together.
You might lay on a hill and look up at the stars with someone you care for.You might look out you window and gaze at the stars for no reason at all.
Or you might look at them and find constellations.
My hopes are high, to see the stars again.

back to topic.
When i was younger i wanted to be a teacher just like everyone else in kindergarten, As i grew older i crossed out all the ' when i grow up i want to be a teacher' stuff and wrote singer and stuff like that I followed that plan till i was in grade 5 ( yes it took me that long to find out i couldn't sing umm great ) Lemme tell you a story. When i was little i wouldn't let my parents or anybody sing me a lullaby i HAD to sing it MYSELF. My parents said that it was cute till 2am in the morning. They said that if they didn't knock me out i wouldn't stop singing, i kept saying ... ok ok ok LAST ONE. but last one was like another 40 songs away. I sang barney and teletubies and other songs i barely remember.
In grade 5 and 6 i wanted to be a vet. I loved animals and wanted to help them and stuff. Then it came to me.... i had a fear of blood. I loved animals just not . . . . blood. I watched chinese dramas and stuff when i was little. There was one about a police and his partner, a german shepherd. One day while on duty the dog got stabbed while trying to stop the theif or something, and the police guy was laying wounded under a bunch of boxes that collasped.... i kept screaming and crying when that happened.Now when my gramma's crying because a main character died or something i'd be hanging my barbie dolls and flinging them like those toy army planes my mom never bought me. See i never wanted to be a barbie in my life, even if they do have millioon different faces and matching clothes. Never wanted to be one. I wanted the Barbie Swan Lake set though. I wanted the animals. MY story of Swan Lake ( never did watch the movie) All the animals hated Barbie and that Prince Plastic guy and turned both of them in to ducks and kicked them into Timbucktwoo ( the trash can ).

Now, present time. I want something related to animals but not blood. I know i want a part-time or full time job at the animal shelter when I'm in highschool. I have plans to adpot some too. But right now my decision is . . . . a mystery . . .. o.O

My topic to blog about is . . . . COOKIES ARE BETTER THAN PIES !
I'm sure that most people would choose COOKIES OVER PIE ! I mean with cookies you can just stuff it in you mouth, with pies, you need a plate, you need a fork, you need a napkin . . . . with a cookie you stuff it in your mouth and TA DAA ! simple and happy. With pie you get messy and you end up having to wash a bunch of stuff.
As you may know this uhhhh argument is a big thing for me at school.
So the main question is . . . . . COOKIES OR PIE ?
cookie is winning right now ( if you wanted to know ) so basically, Oscar is losing :)
Ok, so cookies and pies are both common its just that cookies are more popular . . . . I mean does pie have a monster ?! nope. Not even a pie guy ( no your chibi from art doesn't count ) but cookie on the other hand has . . . . THE COOKIE MONSTER ! ( na na na nana in your face! )
Cookie is in part of some awesome foods, like the ice cream sandwich ! and the oreo's ice cream ! lots of things are made from cookies. Like cookie dough! pie . . . . pie dough ? uhhhh NO. you don't have pie sandwiches, you don't have pie ice cream. So pie is just . . . . pie. Pie doesn't have anything fun about it except for the cream pies where you throw it in to your friends face but thats it. Cookies. The heavenly good treat you get for being good, the treat for Santa, the treat you go ninja style on to steal from the cookie jar. The tempting uhhhhh treat ?
So obviously Cookies are BETTER than Pie :)
Pies remind me of . . . . . Garfield, my gramma, clowns, carnivals, clowns ( again ), whip cream, artificial cream . . . .

So After the whole Titanic scene with the boat starting into the sunset thing. I'm gonna give you a more detailed description right now.
We stood at the top front part of the boat watching the sunset while the boat started off to Bahamas. It was really really windy and with the rocking and shoving. No, not the boat and the waves, the PEOPLE. Before we left we saw the old man walking against the wind to get to the door. He wore a puffy, and I mean PUFFY coat. The wind ended up filling up the coat with air. He looked like a really buff dude with a cane. My Uncle, Aunt and I were laughing really hard and didn't stop till when we realized that we had to do that too.
After that we went to bed . . .~DAY 2 ~
Ok so we reached the Bahamas overnight I think. And I had to wake up really early because my Uncle, Aunt and me were going to Atlantis.
ATLANTIS has a water park . . .
After our buffet breakfast which is uhhhh full of . . . people in line with really really HOT plates with really really HOT food. My fingers were ummm hot. While eating our breakfasts the ship captain made the announcement about where the tours and vans are going to be. Did I mention that the captian really likes to do impressions on random things ? yea its not as funny as he thinks. We were going to Atlantis Paradise Island, Bahamas. When we finished our breakfasts we went back to our rooms to grab our bags and set out for . . . ATLANTIS ! that was way to preppy . . . I still said that when we got to the doors. I got a o.o from people behind me :) When we got out of the ship we had . . . PICTURES ! I hate pictures. But it was NOT optional so we took pictures with a dolphin that purposely slams its nose in your ear and a Pirate that yells ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR in your ear. Yes he did it that long. When we finally left the Dolphin and Pirate with ear issues, we walked around the VERY BIG dock to the vans that go to Atlantis. I ate candy in the van :) I shared too ! When we got to Atlantis we went into the REALLY REALLY big hotel to make our way to the Aquaventure. Btw I forgot to mention that Atlantis wasn't the only place you could go to. You could've went to Blackbeard's Cay and do the Stingray Adventure where you swim with the stingrays you could've done the Dolphin Encounter/Dolphin Swim. And other things that I'm to lazy to type. But then again you could've shopped around the Bahama streets. So we went to the Aquaventure where the BIG water park is : P. At the big hotel I took a bunch of umm brochures with the stuff you can do :) and ofcourse THE MAP OF ATLANTIS ! We had to walk to the Water Park which wasn't that far. On the way there we pass by the Reefs we saw tons of fishys ! They scared me ALOT, one second I'm sitting down the next thing I know i turn my head and right there theres a BIG FISH HEAD. Yes, yes I did scream and yes my 'nice' uncle took a picture of it. Now I'm going to skip the rest of the walk there because I got scared a whole bunch of times and screamed a whole bunch of times. When we got to the water park we rented lockers to put our stuff in. When we were done we went to the first water slide where you lay down and go down. The main water slides are in this really big building with different floors. (I'll have a seperate post with the pictures) There was a big drop and water splashing your face. Then you fall into water. It was WARM ! we stayed there for like 15minutes because we know that the rest of the water is gonna be COLD. We went to the other clides too most of them were tube-y ones and yes i fell of my tube-y like 30 times because that 'nice' uncle was just so NICE. Then when we went on all rides at that building we went on the first one that we went on again but this time we got to hear a bunch of people screaming so my uncle had the bestest idea ever ! A screaming contest for the girls. We went with 2 of my uncle's and aunt's friends and they're married so the wife went first. She screamed the longest but also the lowest. Then I went I screamed really high pitched and really loud. My aunt was had the shortest scream. I was declared WINNER ! even if I got a cup of water up my nose ! The big building btw is called the Power Tower. We always ended up at the lazy river after the slides with the tube because . . . I don't know. I DON'T KNOW AND I AM STRESSING OVER IT ! enjoy my ridiculous thoughts for another 100 ~ for a sec

So theres a seperate tower thing beside the power tower called the Mayan Temple Shark Lagoon there was a 20 feet ( I think ) drop slide where you lie down and slide down and then you go through this under water tube where you can see the sharks and other fishes. Yes it was really really cool when I read about it but it wasn't . . . cool when it happened. Because of the water constantly splashing your face all you can see is blue. PLAIN BLUE maybe a grey 'thing' but thats it the water almost made it impossible to see. So I guess you can say . . . FAIL but the drop was really fun and no I didn't scream, like I said, there was constant water splashing your face. There was another ride beside that water in your face ride was a slower tuby ride. There was no insane drops like the others there was a slide still but not as rushing and uhhh other types of things. We go though an underwater tube just like the other one were we can see the sharks and everyting but this was much slower and there was NO CONSANT WATER IN YOUR FACE. But there would be little waves that push you forward. So yeah at least they KNOW that people can't see. So I'm going to skip the eating part and the things that don't really need talking about. Really I'm just tired of typing so much.
